Wyoming’s wide-open spaces are beautiful, but they’re also working landscapes, migration corridors, and home to the vast herds of wildlife we all love.

It’s important that these lands, and the wildlife that depend on them, remain healthy and accessible for future generations.
WYOGA Outdoorsman Members help support the conservation, research, and advocacy that protect Wyoming’s hunting heritage.

WYOMING PREFERENCE POINT PANIC

There are a lot of rumors floating around about the Wyoming preference point system, which seems to be causing a mild panic in nonresident point holders. While the system for bighorn sheep, moose, bison, and mountain goat license allocation has changed dramatically, elk, deer, and antelope quotas remain the same.

If you're hearing that you need to dump all of your preference points in Wyoming ASAP and are concerned, we strongly recommend that you take a breath and do some research.

As a stakeholder in this industry and, more importantly, as a passionate advocate of Wyoming's wildlife, we have been very involved in the conversations and processes that bring us to this point.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about the various policy changes that have occurred, as well as those that are proposed.

We look forward to hearing from you.
