Today we took a walk in the field that’ll be his stompin ground (once he’s old enough) and then he spotted Rich mowing... We had to stand there for a good minute as he speculated the situation!!😄

We love this little diner about 15 minutes from us in Strasburg! It’s our go to for breakfast when we aren’t in the mood to fight the crowds! Just a small mom and pop, nothing fancy, but always good food and always good service. Rich is a pancake snob and says they have the best!

What’s going through his mind? 💭 🫏 💭
We’re over here just in love with this little guy😍😍Our family can’t agree on a name for him so for now he’s got all sorts…I guess we’ll wait and see which one sticks! We have learned so much about his sweet little breed the past few days! He’s a major analyzer and very intelligent. We learned he won’t cross trickling water even if it isn’t deep, as he’s sees it as a danger. He most definitely thinks things through -which can be seen as stubbornness by those who are unfamiliar with their behavior, but it's actually a sign of their intelligence and self-preservation instincts just as he’s carrying out in this picture!

Good mornin peeps!!🥕 🤎 🥕🩶 🥕
I’m adapting pretty well in my new space! I miss the little Amish children who helped raise me for the past 7 weeks but I’m loving all the attention my new family is pouring into me! I sleep in my donkey stall with lots of soft straw at night and during the day I mostly hang with my new family and the dog “Chip” down by the house! He’s pretty cool- I think we’ll be buddy’s for life. Soon I’ll have more donkey friends too. ❤️

Finally a new couch for the Woodland Cottage!! With power recliners, head rests and back support🤩 Just like the mattresses, we have one exactly like this in our living room and love it! The comfiest couch we’ve ever owned. Now our guests can have the same comfort.

Each of our cottages was especially built with guests in mind! We planned for a whole year prior to building our first cottage; the Woodland Cottage.

17 years ago, we were very busy with a 3 year old toddler and in 2009 a baby on the way. I remember quite vividly reassuring ourselves that if no one would want to stay here we could always rent it out to a young married couple looking for a place to live.

Looking back now, it was a pretty big plunge for us to take- we ran solely on faith and wanting a better lifestyle for ourselves and our kids’ future. We had no idea what was in store for us.
God has surely blessed our little village here at Red Cottage Hideaway !
