I used to think places like Fiji were overhyped — the kind of destination you see on screensavers and assume can’t possibly live up to it. But the more I’ve learned about it, the more it feels like one of those rare places that actually does.
It’s not just the clear water or the white sand. It’s the quiet mornings, the slow pace, the way time seems to stretch out instead of rush by. It’s small villages, warm “Bula” greetings, and that feeling of being far away from everything that usually demands your attention.
With so many islands, there’s space to explore — or to do absolutely nothing at all. Snorkel if you want. Hike if you feel like it. Or just sit by the water and let the day unfold.
Some places feel like trips. Others feel like memories waiting to happen.
