Some of our fall-break travelers are heading home to Oklahoma this weekend. If you’re packing up today, we hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the last bit of your trip and that the journey back is an easy one.

After helping with the plans, it’s always good to hear about the trip itself. We’re looking forward to catching up once you’re home and settled.

And if you’re already back, we hope there’s a little time to relax today before the week gets going. The rest of the unpacking can probably wait.

Your cruise itinerary says Rome, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your ship docks in Rome. 🚢

Most cruises visiting Rome actually dock in Civitavecchia, about 50 miles away. Depending on your transportation, getting into the city can take an hour or more each way.

So if you’re hoping to see the Colosseum, the Vatican, or a few other sights during your stop, that travel time matters!

And this isn’t unique to Rome. Some cruise ports are right near the attractions, while others require a bit of a journey.

Something worth checking when comparing cruises: Where does the ship actually dock, how long is it in port, and how much time will you realistically have to explore?

And don’t forget to allow enough time to get back before the ship’s required boarding time. That’s one departure you definitely don’t want to miss 😅
