Where do we snorkel on our Na Pali Coast Snorkeling Tours?

Mokole is a protected area along the Na Pali between Polihale State Park and Milolii State Park. This area is protected from the predominant northeast trade winds during the summertime, and becomes a calm, clear, tranquil escape under cliffs reaching as high as 1,300 feet straight up from the ocean!

Your captain will find the safest and most abundant part of the bay on your tour, or explore 3 possible other options if the wind and waves choose!

In this video, you’ll see a school of gray chub “Nenue” with their queen(yellow). You’ll also spot “Humuhumu‘ele‘ele” aka trigger fish (black with white stripe), “Ta‘ape” or blue stripe snapper (red/yellow), and “Manini” and convict tang “Manini” (colorful stripes). These are the usual suspects that come to seek shelter under the hull of the boat each day.

Should you choose to go on an underwater adventure, you’ll likely find many other fish species including Parrotfish “Uhu”, different goatfish species, and of course the beloved Honu Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle!
