The summer rental season is finally underway! Last week was our last visit to the house, as the next 13 weeks are rented solid. We will miss it for sure!

We had a great time last week with many of our friends: Vincent, Pamela, Kim, Bobby, Christine, Michael, John, Lindsey Winterroth , Landon, and Owen - and our furry friends Charles and Sadie, and of course the many friends we meet along the way! Thanks to John Winterroth for the drone footage. (Not my best editing job, but the views are spectacular)

The bittersweet feeling of owning a beach house rental... Always something to do, fix, repair, improve... And for tax reporting purposes, everything must be tracked, which means lots of boring photos of projects. We've been readying the house for rentals (which start May 11) for the last 2 weeks. Lori Dillon Dillard has been deep cleaning the interior, while I've fixed broken this or that, as well as power washing anything outside needing it, and laying out Growtrax grass rolls to replenish some grass bare spots. Hope it works! We even have a bird nest with 5 eggs above the pool speaker. Hope they like Jimmy Buffett.

Despite the workload, which is tiresome, we are blessed to have such challenges to solve and maintain. Still not tired of beach life. We want more. But the salt water never sleeps.

We hope our summer 2025 guests will enjoy their visits to EmOceanal Rescue at Emerald Isle Beach, NC as much as we do.
