It only takes ONE silly face to break the seriousness! 🤫➡️😂

We tried to have a quiet, serious moment during play today, but then the wide-mouth, toothy grins made an appearance. Once one person stretches their smile out to the sides, everyone else has to try it too! Honestly, we wouldn't want it any other way.

Les Ratons Laveurs

We had two very adorable, very fluffy neighbors stroll right past our classroom window today. The room was full of excitement as everyone watched these two "masked bandits" explore our street. It’s not every day you get a front-row seat to the local wildlife during class!

Pass the carrots and the conversation! 🥕🗣️

While math and reading are essential, some of our most important lessons happen around the lunch table. Lunchtime at LFS is a vibrant hub for socializing! It’s a wonderful, unstructured space where students naturally practice greeting one another, sharing stories about their morning, and building deeper friendships.

Learning doesn't stop when the lunchboxes open! 🎒✨

"Comment ça va aujourd'hui ?" (How are you today?) 

One of our greatest joys is watching a student recognize their own emotional needs. Instead of waiting for a teacher to intervene, our children are learning the autonomy to say, "I need a moment in the Quiet Corner." Building this level of self-awareness and independence at a young age sets a foundation for healthy coping skills that last a lifetime.

The best kind of art is the kind you share. 🎁🌈

We love watching our students think about how their actions affect the people around them. Writing sweet notes on the sidewalk is a beautiful lesson in empathy—creating something beautiful just to make the next person who walks by smile. Our LFS village is full of little love-spreaders!
