Did you know that there is already a free vessel safety check available for all boaters through the USCG Auxiliary? We will be offering vessel safety checks at the Windward at Amelia Island Marina on 5/22 from 10:00-1:00. Let us help you make sure you have all of the required safety equipment aboard your vessel. Upon a successful inspection, you will receive a decal for your vessel.

Your local USCG Auxiliary can help you earn your boating safety certificate required by state laws as well as offer helpful tips for staying safe on the water. The USCG Auxiliary also offers free Vessel Exams for safety equipment with absolutely no penalties. Their goal is to help you stay safe while enjoying boating. It’s not unusual to see dolphins in our area putting on a show. It’s a beautiful time of the year to take a private boat tour! There are some dates available for sightseeing trips in May that include the backwaters at Cumberland Island’s Dungeoness. Photo courtesy of a guest on board.
