Disney Travel and creating memories for families have been a passion for me for over 10 years. A Graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge as well ACC certified as an Accredited Cruise Counselor through the Cruise Lines International Association I have been assisting families with their Disney Vacation plans since 2004. As a mother of two, I have experience traveling with children from ages 9 we

eks up to the teenage years and find that my “mom tips” often help parents have a stress free vacation from the beginning of the planning process. My experience includes having stayed and toured all Resort Properties at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland and has experienced all of the Disney Cruise Ships as well as having attended Disney’s Earmarked Conferences since 2005. I find that experiencing the resorts first hand allows me to better plan the perfect vacation for my clients. My “prior life” as a Special Needs Teacher gives me special insight into the needs of families traveling with children who may need just a little more planning to ensure a wonderful vacation experience. A primary focus in planning the most memorable vacation possible for my clients is to provide them a budget friendly, stress free vacation that allows them to “stop and smell the roses” and enjoy the spontaneous moments as well as the traditional “must do” activities! Everyone should experience the “Magic” at least once in their lifetime and I would love to be the one to help you create a “Magical Journey”!

Carousel of Progress closes July 6, 2026, for a major update. All four scenes are being replaced with new time periods including 1960s, 1980s, New Year's Eve 1999, and a distant future . A new Audio-Animatronics figure will begin the show. Anticipated Reopening is expected in 2027.

All kinds of thoughts and emotions are swirling in my head after the Carousel of Progress announcement today. I went to the 1964 Worlds Fair 😀...I believe that family antiques should be passed down to the next generation...that you use Grandma's china on holidays...and I believe that some things should not be "enhanced". Some things should just be left as nostalgia!

Disney Cruise Line Revised Guest Policies - Please Read!!!!
All (3) Policies are effective as of June 3
The updates are to the alcohol policy, selfie sticks & tripods and stateroom decorations.

Alcohol Policy
Guests 21+ may bring onboard either one unopened bottle of wine or champagne (up to 750 ml) or six beers (up to 12 oz each) at embarkation. All alcohol must be packed in carry‑on luggage. The dining room corkage fee is now $20 per bottle (previously $29). Wine and beer purchased at ports of call will be held until the end of the voyage for Guests. This process is more consistent with practices used across the cruise industry and will continue to provide Guests with options.

Timing:
June 3 – Policies implemented on Disney Fantasy
June 4 – Policies implemented on Disney Adventure and Disney Magic
June 5 – Policies implemented on Disney Wish
June 6 – Policies implemented on Disney Treasure & Disney Destiny
June 8 – Policies implemented on Disney Dream & Disney Wonder

Selfie Sticks & Tripods
Selfie sticks, handheld extension poles, and tripods are permitted onboard and may be used in most areas if folded and under 18 inches. Longer items must be stored in the stateroom and may only be used ashore.

Stateroom Decorations
With everyone’s safety in mind, decorations can be placed on stateroom doors only and not on hallway walls or ceilings. All decorations must follow existing guidelines.

Update from Kathy!
The surgery went well!!
Tommy currently has a metal cage in his head around the aneurysm to protect it from bleeding in the brain again.
He is literally just being woken up and will remain in post op for about an hour.
He’ll stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks because they need to monitor the blood that came from the aneurysm since it can cause complications such as stroke. So he’s in the best place possible.

Rest assured - I am fully organized and everything will continue as normal, but in full transparency, wanted to let you know that I will be doing "double duty" for a bit. Most of you know about "Kandy Coverage" - Kathy/Wendy, but for new clients, Kathy and I operate as a team and cover each other for vacations, emergencies, etc!

Good Morning!
This is Wendy posting for Kathy. A fast post to let Kathy's clients know that emergency "Kandy Coverage" (kathy/wendy) is now in effect until further notice. Everyone is in good hands and things will proceed as if Kathy is sitting at her desk! Response time may be a bit slower, but I have cleared my schedule and am "On Duty". Almost all of you know me so you know that there will be no changes to "regularly scheduled programming" 😀

Kathy's husband suffered a medical emergency yesterday and is currently undergoing brain surgery. Full recovery is expected, but it's going to be a long road!

I will post an update when I have more news and keep everyone in the loop! It would be appreciated if people who have her cell phone refrain from texting her - she is incredibly overwhelmed by texts at the moment!

Disney has expanded its Bag Transfer Program to include not only Southwest Airlines, but also United and American Airlines 😀

Currently the program only includes the following resorts:
All Star Music, Movies, and Sports
Pop Century
Art of Animation
