On our trip through Croatia, we were heading back from Hvar on the ferry and I was looking at our AirBnb in Split with my 12 year old son and he pointed out that where we were staying was part of Diocletian’s Palace. It was one of the four turrets on the four corners of the palace.

Diocletian's Palace was built at the end of the third century AD as a residence for the Roman emperor Diocletian, and today forms about half of the old town of Split, Croatia.

How cool is that? Our place was on the 4th floor (no elevator!) and this woman who was renting it raised her four kids there. Really neat story!
