Cute decor, comfortable furniture and beds, and close walking distance to the beach. Allowing dogs/pets in the home is ideal for us as we enjoy bringing them along. They love the beach too! Cheryle was great to work with. She handled things for us very quickly and was great with communicating. Her home was perfect for our needs and we look forward to booking with her in the future.

A rip current will not pull you under. It pulls you out. Knowing that difference is most of what keeps people alive out there. 🏊

A rip forms when water that waves have piled up against the shore finds a way back out, usually through a break in a sandbar or alongside something solid like a pier or a jetty. All that water funnels into a narrow lane and runs seaward fast.

The tell is usually a stretch of water that looks calmer and darker than everything around it. A gap in the line of breaking waves. Choppy churning water in a narrow channel. A trail of foam, seaweed or debris moving steadily away from the beach. The safest looking water on the beach is very often the rip.

If it has you, the rule is simple and it is the opposite of what your body wants to do. Do not swim straight back at the beach. You will lose. Swim parallel to the shore until you are out of the lane, then angle in. If you cannot get out, stop fighting, float, tread water, and wave and yell.

If somebody else is caught, do not go in after them. That is how the second drowning happens. Throw something that floats and get a lifeguard. 🚩

The flags on Alabama beaches are not decoration. Green is low hazard. Yellow is medium, moderate surf or currents. Red is high hazard. Double red means the water is closed, and it is illegal to enter the Gulf inside the Gulf Shores or Orange Beach city limits when two red flags are flying. Purple flies alongside the others and means dangerous marine life, jellyfish or rays.

Nationally most surf zone victims are male and between 10 and 29, and most of it happens in June and July. Baldwin County lost five people in 2021, its worst year since 2017.

We had a great stay at Bay Dreamer! House was very nice inside and out. Kids loved the pool and night fishing from the dock. Owner was very friendly and responsive. We definitely plan on staying here again.

Luxury Home Mobile Bay Waterfront Private Pool 150-Foot Fishing Pier 4Bed 3Bath

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful bayfront property! Fishing right off the dock was so much fun, and catching blue crabs was an added bonus. Watching the dolphins play in the bay every day was truly unforgettable.The downstairs pool bathroom was incredibly convenient, especially with our large group. The extra refrigerator was a huge plus, giving us plenty of room for food and drinks. I love to cook, and the kitchen was one of the best-equipped vacation kitchens I’ve used—it had everything we needed to prepare meals with ease.We rented a golf cart, and it was just a short, enjoyable ride to the beach access. The property felt so private, peaceful, and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.The beach chairs and wagon that were provided made our beach trips effortless. We created so many wonderful memories here and would absolutely stay again. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway! Our dog Cooper also was welcome and he loved it!!

Near Beach, Pet and Handicap Friendly, 4BR/3BTH

The host was kind and responsive, the place and location was exactly how described. I don’t think we could have found a better spot! The beds were comfortable and it was so nice that everyone had their own spot due to its spaciousness. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics which made cooking easy and stress free.
The beach walk was less than 3 minutes away and all the beach chairs and toys provided were a cherry on top! Loved the outdoor shower. 100% recommend.

Everybody has a gateway destination that brings them happiness, peace, where for a few days the time slows down and you live out every full moment let Out O' Town be your getaway from it all.We know there are tons or places to stay, thank you for considering ours. Come stay for a few days or a week....

We enjoyed our stay at Maw Maw's Beach House. It was roomy, clean, and a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet, and it's close to good food at Tacky Jacks and a short drive to delicious coffee at Selah. Would definitely stay here again.

This beach home in the Fort Morgan area of Gulf Shores offers a tranquil retreat with breathtaking views. The updated three-bedroom, two-bathroom house features a private deck off the master bedroom, providing a serene spot to take in the fantastic vistas of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay.
