Some info if your US passport is due for renewal. If it hasn’t expired more than10 years ago , you can renew online. You can have someone take your picture, the site checks it and it will either be accepted or not. My husband’s passport is due for renewal. I took the picture and here is what I learned after no less than 11 tries. I have an iPhone 16 Pro. Great camera. It was rejected for background patterns (paint), shadows, etc. Here is what I learned, do not upload the highest quality picture, download 2nd or 3rd quality. Your paint patterns won’t show. Neither do shadows. When I did that the first try worked!
