The summer 2026 Gillespie County peach crop is anticipated to be a moderate season. While peach season typically runs from mid-May through mid-August, be sure to check directly with local Gillespie County orchards and peach stands for current availability. 🍑 It's almost time for the 65th Annual Stonewall Peach JAMboree - Stonewall, TX! Join us June 18th through the 20th at the Stonewall Chamber of Commerce Grounds for a full weekend of rodeo action, live music and family fun.

Thursday is free admission featuring the slack rodeo, Mutton Bustin' and live music by the Scott Crofts Band. Friday and Saturday bring the CPRA Rodeo at 8 p.m., with Little Texas taking the stage Friday night and the Kentucky Headhunters closing out Saturday. Saturday also features a parade, contests, tournaments and the beloved Peach Show!

Tickets required for Friday and Saturday evening events. Purchase online or with cash at the gate.

Peaches, jellies, wine and cooking classes, all on one historic farm. 🍑 Das Peach Haus on Highway 87 traces its roots back to a peach orchard planted in 1928 and a roadside stand that opened in 1969. Today it's one of the most unique stops in all of Fredericksburg, home to Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods, a culinary cooking school, wine tasting room and more. Some places just have a story worth tasting.

Planning a summer trip to Fredericksburg? The pools are open! The Park Pool and Town Pool kicked off the 2026 swim season this weekend and the Splashpad is open too.

Admission is just $2 per person for the pools and the Splashpad is completely free.

Park Pool: Fitness and lap swim 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., normal hours 1 to 6:30 p.m., closed Tuesdays

Town Pool: Normal hours 1 to 6:30 p.m., closed Mondays

Splashpad: Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays noon to 5 p.m.
