What does a travel advisor actually do?

Well… today looked a little like this.

My clients were traveling from Rome to Naples, where a private driver was scheduled to meet them, take them to Pompeii for a private tour, and then continue on to their hotel in Sorrento.

Then their train broke down.

A three hour delay meant the driver could no longer wait, the Pompeii tour wasn’t going to happen as planned, and the entire day needed to be rearranged!

So while they traveled, I worked on Plan B.

New transportation to Sorrento ✅
Pompeii for the following afternoon ✅ Coordinating a new driver and guide around an already scheduled Amalfi tour ✅

Travel doesn’t always go perfectly, even when it’s planned well!

Having someone who knows your itinerary and can start working on a solution. That’s a big part of what I do!

Our December 2027 Rhine River Christmas Markets sailing is nearly full, and there are only 3 (maybe 2) staterooms remaining.
