Back in July, Raylyn came to Bluefield, West Virginia on a mission trip to serve. Somewhere along the way, God met her there, and she decided she wanted to be baptized. 💙

Now she’s coming back to serve alongside us as a 2027 intern! 🙌

Help us welcome Raylyn to the team and to the family of Christ in the comments below!

Most people picture retirement as the season to slow down. Don Allen saw it as the season to finally say yes.

When Don retired from Nashville Metro’s Streets and Roads department in 2023, he started serving with Mission Discovery. In two years he has been on 10 trips in Asheville and Bluefield. 🔨

Over those weeks he has been a contractor teaching first-timers to build, a cook in the kitchen, a worship leader, and a head mission trip coordinator. He’ll lead the evening devotional one night and run to the store for granola bars the next morning. To Don, both jobs matter the same because both are done to honor God.

And he never shows up without a batch of his wife Sheila’s brownies, which our teams will tell you are the best in the world. 🍫

Comment “DON” and we’ll send you his full story.

If you’ve served with Don, let him know how awesome he is in the comments below! 👇

Meet Randall. ❤️

When we met Randall in Bluefield, West Virginia, getting in and out of his own home had become a challenge because of mobility issues.

That’s when a team all the way from Maryland and New Jersey stepped in. Steven and his son, Spencer, were part of the team that spent the day building Randall a new ramp—giving him the freedom to safely come and go from his own home.

But they didn’t just build a ramp. They spent time with Randall, listened to his stories, laughed with him, and reminded him that he is seen, loved, and not forgotten.

And Randall’s story is just one of many we had the privilege of being part of on the mission field this summer. Across communities near and far, God used ordinary people willing to say “yes” to meet practical needs and love their neighbors well.

Want to experience moments like these for yourself? ❤️ Check out the link in our bio or send us a DM to get the conversation rolling. We’d love to help you find a place to serve!

An appreciation post for the four-legged friends we’ve met along the way. 🐾🤍
These are just a handful of the many pups that we’ve met out on the field, and don’t we love to see them! ❤️
