What a week of ministry across Mission Discovery locations! ❤️🌎
In Nashville, Faith Reformed Church and Intern Kylie Pease served through VBS at Dream Streets, repaired homes, completed 4 construction projects, and served 150 meals to those in need.
In Bluefield, Weddington Methodist Church, Intern Kellan Hill, and Madeline Henson spent the week preparing porches and railings for painting, building decks, completing landscaping projects, and ministering to families in the community.
In Eden, Jamaica, Siler Presbyterian Church, Peace Church, the Freed Family, and Intern Rebecca Drexler served through home repair projects, helping create safer and more comfortable spaces for local families.
In Puerto Rico, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Roanoke, and Intern Noah Harris served 110 meals and witnessed the power of hope firsthand. Originally assigned to another project, the team was redirected to the home of a man named Tole who had lost hope and was considering ending his life. After clearing out his home, painting, cleaning, and showing him the love of Christ through their presence, Tole’s outlook completely changed. He now looks toward the future with renewed hope.
In Daytona, Only Believe Youth served 25 children through VBS, provided 1,500 meals, distributed more than 350 bags of food to families in need, served migrant fern workers and individuals experiencing homelessness, beautified the Rose Marie Bryon Children’s Center, and led SHINEkids. The week concluded with approximately 17 children making professions of faith in Jesus Christ.
Every repaired home, every meal served, every child reached, and every conversation shared is a reminder that God is at work in communities around the world. Thank you to every volunteer, leader, church partner, and intern who answered the call to serve this week.
