Did a 3 day trip to Disneyland and 2 days to enjoy the area. Here is my hotel review and a few tips.
Hyatt House Anaheim Convention Resort
This is a great family hotel if you would like to save some $$s by not staying at a Disneyland Resort. It is a modern, comfortable and family friendly hotel that provides a very nice fresh breakfast daily, has a Happy Hour menu at the Bar for purchase, a lovely pool area and gym, has mobile scooters for rent, parking for strollers, has a Starbucks, an Asian dumpling and pizza place as well as a Walgrens in the same complex. They have plenty of luggage carts. The staff is professional and friendly and it is very clean.
➡️ It is a 20 minute walk to Disney.
It is a very clean and friendly establishment with a nice pool area and two nice BBQ grills. ➡️The kitchens in the rooms have a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and cooktop. They do not have ovens which is important to know if you were planning on grocery items that require an oven.
Our room has a living area with a pull out sleeper, a separate bedroom with 2 beds. Some rooms have bunk beds. Maid service is every other day but you can just call for towels or any extras.
➡️ The hotel has a nice sized laundromat, washers are $3 and dryers are $2. This is a great amenity when traveling with children. ➡️There is a bus shuttle service to the park provided by the city of Anaheim and it is $6 per day per person. We walked or took an Uber one way when we were tired and we did not use the bus shuttle.
Tips: ➡️ you will walk alot so bring excellent shoes with support, maybe bring an extra pair to alternate.
➡️Pack a cooler so you can make lunches to take to the park and save some $$s so you can buy a $5 churro as a treat🤣 they are yummy.
➡️pack water bottles because water at the park is $4.95
➡️You can order grocery delivery which is very helpful for lunches. Order some paper plates for ease. Dinners, plan on using the grill, grab take out or if you plan on eating dinner at Disney, go to Downtown Disney for a great selection of eateries and prices are less expensive than inside the park.
➡️we used Uber from the Orange County Airport to save on parking fees and rented a car for our last 2 days and returned it to the airport.
