🍂 BLUFFS & BEYOND | Paint Creek

Looking for a beautiful autumn drive while visiting East Tennessee? This week's Bluffs & Beyond takes us to Paint Creek, tucked away in the Cherokee National Forest near Greeneville.

The five-mile Paint Creek Corridor follows Forest Road 41 through wooded mountainsides, alongside rushing water, waterfalls, and some spectacular fall scenery. It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours exploring, especially when the leaves are showing off their autumn colors!

🍁 A few stops worth making along the way:

💦 Kelly, Dudley & Ricker Falls — Three picturesque cascades along the Paint Creek Corridor. Several waterfall views can be enjoyed right from the roadside!

🌿 Paint Creek Pond — A peaceful spot for wildlife watching, fishing, or simply enjoying the surroundings.

🥾 Paint Creek & Paint Mountain Trails — For those wanting to explore a little farther, hiking trails offer another way to experience the Cherokee National Forest.

📸 Scenic Pull-Offs & Picnic Spots — Bring your camera, pack a picnic, and take your time enjoying the changing leaves, creek views, and mountain scenery.

One of the best things about Paint Creek is that you don't have to be an avid hiker to appreciate it. The scenic drive alone is worth the trip!

🚗 Approximately 30–45 minutes from Nolichuckey Bluffs Cabins, depending on your route.

🍂 No admission fee for exploring the corridor.

From porch loungers to woodland explorers, we've got plenty of feline personalities around the Bluffs! Some are camera-ready, others are a little more camera-shy, but they're all part of the charm. ❤️

And since we believe a getaway is even better with your furry family members, we're proud to be pet-friendly! 🐾

❤️ Remembering Pam Sadler

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Pam Sadler.

Pam was an integral part of Nolichuckey Bluffs, not only through her dedication and countless contributions, but through the love and care she poured into the people around her.

Pam had a remarkable gift for making people feel special. She touched so many lives in thoughtful, intentional, and deeply personal ways. Whether family, friend, guest, or someone she had only just met, she had a way of making each person feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for.

So much of what makes Nolichuckey Bluffs special reflects Pam's heart. She was family, and her love and influence will remain part of this place for years to come.

We invite our friends, guests, and extended Bluffs family to join us as we celebrate her life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
