Some places invite you to be still. 🌿

Tucked among the trees at Nolichuckey Bluffs, our glass chapel is one of those places.

Follow the wooden walkway through the woods and you’ll find a quiet space surrounded by windows, where the trees become the view and the sounds of nature provide the soundtrack.

It doesn’t always have to be a place for an occasion. Sometimes it can simply be a place to sit for a while. To reflect. To pray. To read. To listen to the woods around you. Or to do absolutely nothing at all.

There’s something about being surrounded by nature that makes it a little easier to quiet the noise, slow your thoughts and simply be present.

Some weekends call for plans. Others call for a front porch, a quiet cabin tucked beneath the trees, and nowhere you need to be.

At Nolichuckey Bluffs, we're rather fond of the second kind.

Our Log Cabin offers the kind of East Tennessee getaway where mornings can start slowly, afternoons are made for exploring, and coming back to the cabin is part of the experience.

Sometimes the smallest visitors leave the biggest impression. ❤️

Caught in a quiet moment at Nolichuckey Bluffs — a hummingbird stopping by as evening settled over the mountains.

Hummingbirds are often associated with joy, resilience and living fully in the moment. For some, they also carry a more sentimental meaning — a little reminder of the people we love, the memories we hold onto, and the feeling that some connections never really leave us.

Maybe that’s why this particular moment feels a little more special.

The mountains have a way of giving you exactly these kinds of moments when you least expect them — a beautiful sky, a familiar view, a tiny visitor...and a reason to stop for just a minute and remember what matters. ❤️

We recently had a little celebrating to do at Nolichuckey Bluffs! 🎉🌲

We were delighted to welcome the Greene County Partnership, friends, family and members of our community for our ribbon cutting — including the Sadler boys, Kevin, Brooke & Grant.

We celebrated the place we love, the people who have supported us, and all the guests who have made Nolichuckey Bluffs part of their own East Tennessee memories. 💚

We even sent one lucky winner home with a gift certificate for a 2-day/2-night Log Cabin stay! 🏡✨

A special thank you to the Greene County Partnership and everyone who shared the day with us. Here’s to old friends, new guests and many more adventures at the Bluffs.

We recently had a little celebrating to do at Nolichuckey Bluffs! 🎉✂️

We were so happy to welcome the Greene County Partnership, along with friends, family and members of our community, for a ribbon cutting at Nolichuckey Bluffs Cabins.

For the Sadler family, Nolichuckey Bluffs has always been about more than a place to stay. It’s about welcoming people to this beautiful corner of East Tennessee, sharing a place we love, and sending our guests home with some pretty wonderful memories.

It was especially nice to have the Sadler boys — Kevin, Brooke & Grant — together for the occasion, along with so many of the people who have supported Nolichuckey Bluffs along the way.

And what’s a celebration without a giveaway? One lucky guest went home with a gift certificate for a 2-day/2-night stay in our Log Cabin! 🏡

A special thank you to the Greene County Partnership for helping us mark the occasion, and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. We’re grateful for our community, grateful for our guests, and excited for all the adventures still ahead.

That sounds like a pretty good plan for Labor Day.

Summer may be winding down, but the garden at Nolichuckey Bluffs is still sharing its bounty — and we’re savoring these warm, slow days before the mountains begin their change to fall. 🍃➡️🍂

Here’s to fresh-picked tomatoes, quiet afternoons, mountain air and absolutely nowhere you need to hurry off to.

Labor Day plans: Pick & Enjoy! 🍅🌶️

The garden understood the assignment. 😊

There’s still plenty of summer goodness being picked at Nolichuckey Bluffs, and Labor Day seems like the perfect excuse to enjoy it. Fresh tomatoes, peppers, sunshine and a long weekend made for doing a little less and savoring a little more.

Around here, we’re celebrating the unofficial end of summer the best way we know how — enjoying what the season has given us and taking the day at a slower pace.
