Not only does Grenada have big crappie, it has some big cats too. We put the crappie poles down for a day to do a little hand fishing. We caught a pile of fish and a few over 50lbs.

This morning I saw an osprey swoop down and grab a nice slab. Several hours later we fished our way by the nest so I pulled over to check it out and there wasn’t much left of the crappie. A couple months ago I noticed these ospreys building this nest and said they were messing up. I figured for sure it would be underwater by now but with the lake still about 6ft low if we don’t get much more rain they might make it.

We had a blast last week at Kentucky lake fishing crappie masters but it was good to be back on the home pond this morning. We caught some jumbo males, with the biggest of the morning being 2.81lbs.
