As of this morning, we have significantly increased our base pricing on Airbnb to purposefully drive traffic away from there. We got an email from them early this morning with absolutely ridiculous new “rules” for hosts that put our property at real risk for misuse and damage (even possible human trafficking) and are unfair to property owners. Their insane increase of fees (from 8% to 15.5% for us) and these new rules have made listing with them a complete nightmare. Unfortunately, some of their newest proposed rules would also have a significant impact on how I communicate with guests (amongst other craziness). If you have stayed at The Lilly Pad, you know that the ability to communicate with our guests effectively and efficiently is something that is completely essential to how I operate and enables me to provide the personalized experience our guests deserve. We want to be your home away from home! Unless they backtrack on this, I will ultimately deactivate my account there after some unfinished business reaches completion. If we continue to take bookings with all of the new rules in place, I fear it would eventually negatively impact the overall guest experience for everyone and have financial impacts across the board. Our goal has always been to provide the absolute best vacation experience for our guests and we aren’t going to let a greedy booking platform get in the way of that. If you previously found us through Airbnb...we welcome you to book your next stay direct! As always...word of mouth is the best form of advertisement for us. If you enjoyed your stay at The Lilly Pad, please share that with your family and friends ❤️.

It’s always fun to walk over to fortmorganmarina and get a bite to eat at Tacky Jacks Fort Morgan or Pelican Scoops Fort Morgan, or just look out over the Marina and see all the interesting things there are to see 👀 You need to be here 🔜 I’ve got one week left open in late July, or you can shift into August and beyond 🗓️

06/22/2026

A cancelled booking means…
I now have a 1 week July opening available. Do either Fri July 24-31 or Sat July 25-Aug 1 for $3500 total if you book direct. This includes cleaning fee and taxes. (I do require a fully refundable $500 damage deposit check). If you book through Air or VRBO it will be higher, but you can go that route if you prefer.

In peaceful, quiet, & relaxing Fort Morgan (unincorporated Gulf Shores), across from Tacky Jacks 2/Ft Morgan Marina, about 1.5 miles from the historic Fort Morgan fort, the new public fishing pier/boat launch & the Mobile Bay Ferry: 3/3, spacious 2200sqft home, sleeps 8, in The Dunes Homes gated community with recently renovated pool & hot tub & private access beach that’s only a 5-ish minute walk away (or you can simply park by the boardwalk). 2 Kings, 1 Full & 2 Twins. FULLY LOADED. Air fryer, crockpot, beach towels, chairs, umbrella , sand toys, etc. Balloon wheel beach wagon, too!
Beautiful Gulf views at this 2nd tier home. Only 6% tax. Rent direct to save fees or go through VRBO/Airbnb, if preferred. VIP Loyalty Program for return guests!
No smoking or animals due to my child’s medical condition.
