How’s this female whale we were able to ID through yesterday, pic by . Her name is “Cat Soup” in their comprehensive database, and has been spotted/catalogged 55 times between Maui, Alaska and Oahu. First spotted in February 1997 in Maui, and last seen with us on the North Shore yesterday March 16th 2026. She was also spotted off Maui in January of this season with her newborn calf, who we also observed playing/ breaching off Mokuleia. Cool coincidence but the last time she was cataloged off Oahu was also on March 16th of 2017, but off the west side, near Mā’ili. So fun to keep track of these whales and their migration patterns through Hawaii and their preferred breeding grounds in the higher latitude polar regions. Come join us this 2026 season! Amazing whale shows this morning! Mahalo to our guests from Australia for joining us!!! So many whales and an awesome heat run with lots of breaching and fluke slaps. Come join us tomorrow, we have one private charter slot left at 11am-1pm! Where will be here for a little while longer, come see them this 2026 season before they head back up to Alaska 🐋 🤙🏽

Watch this whole sunset sequence we had the other day! Three different whales all breaching together at sunset. The whales the past week have been crazy good, and it should only get better as we move further into March! Peak season whale watching on the North Shore is the best! Come join us through April 7th! A fun morning of whale watching on our first three tours today! The whales have been awesome and will only get better as we get deeper into March! March is the best month to whale watch here on the North Shore as all the whales south of us start to make their way north to Alaska, passing by our island on their way up! Don’t miss out on this 2026 season!!! It’s been a great one! 🐋 🛥️ ☀️

A very windy morning with lots of whales! We found this mom and calf pair breaching in the distance. The calf appeared to have a very deep but healing wound on its left side, possibly by boat strike. We captured some still shots you can check out as well. Baby seemed healthy other than the wound on its side. We included a fluke shot of the mother as well and submitted to for identification! Hoping to see this lil guy/girl again sometime soon 🐋
