Well, the summer heat has really started to move into our areas and we will really be feeling it next week. I'm sure many of us will be thinking about beach getaways or even getaways to somewhere colder like Canada or Iceland :)
For those of you getting ready to travel for the next 7-10 days, the tropics in the Atlantic remain very calm with nothing even showing the start of formation. So we should have another week or two of calm weather across the Caribbean and into the SE coast of the US.
The Pacific currently has Hurricane Erick south of Mexico and it looks like it will make landfall east of Acapulco sometime tomorrow and bring heavy rains and winds into southern Mexico for the next few days.
Alaska has been hit with some very strong storms over the past few weeks as well and another ship broke away from it's moorings in Juneau yesterday. Hopefully things calm down soon up there since it's been more windy than usual the past few weeks.
