Surf City, the closest town (roughly five miles away), has several good options for dining and activities. Sandy Footprints is truly a great house in a great location that is loved by its family and will be loved by yours.

We are very excited to have our first turtle nest in front of the cottage! You can follow the progress of Nest #17 at seaturtlehospital.org/topsail-turtle-project. Please help the turtles by turning off lights at night and filling in holes!

Although we have not had eyes on the cottage yet, early reports show that Topsail Beach has fared very well with only normal flooding. There are even reports to suggest the southern end has gained several feet of sand on the dunes, possibly saving years in dune re-building after our loss from Florence.

Sandy Footprints is a quaint family owned cottage on beach front property located on Topsail Island in North Carolina. The house is a duplex that is owned by two sides of an extended family and is operated as two separate entities. The house has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a connected kitchen, dining room, living room. Topsail beach is a popular beach on the outer banks of North Carolina. Like many of the smaller beaches in North Carolina, one of the truly nice attributes of Topsail Island is the fact that it doesn't have a "Myrtle Beach" feel. No large hotels, flashy lights, Jetties, sea walls, boardwalks, or crowds. Just quiet walks and great waves on a gorgeous beach. It is mainly inhabited by vacationers or year rounders staying in private cottages. Sandy Footprints is located toward the south end of the island less than a mile from the Jolly Roger fishing pier that juts out into the Atlantic ocean, and just a few miles from the south end of the island. Due to the fact that the island is less than a half mile wide, there is easy access at several places on the island to the sound (Inter coastal Waterway) which has its own array of boating/fishing activities. Surf City, the closest town (roughly five miles away), has several good options for dining and activities. Just off the island, west of Surf City are some of the larger grocery stores and restaurants. Sandy Footprints is truly a great house in a great location that is loved by its family and will be loved by yours.
