Mexico – Feb. 23 Update: In Puerto Vallarta, flights continue to be disrupted due to availability of flight crews. The Embassy is in close contact with airlines to monitor their plans. All other airports in Mexico are open, and most airports are operating normally. If you are traveling via any airport other than Guadalajara or Puerto Vallarta, we have received no indication of any security-related flight disruptions. Check with your airline to confirm your flight status and schedule.

U.S. citizens in specific locations in Mexico are urged to continue to shelter in place. U.S. government staff in Guadalajara (Jalisco), Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco/Nayarit), Ciudad Guzman (Jalisco), Tijuana (Baja California), Chiapas, and Michoacan are sheltering in place until all blockades are cleared, and we urge Americans to do the same.

While incidents were reported yesterday, February 22, the situation has returned to normal in the following areas: Quintana Roo State (including Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum), Sinaloa, and Tamaulipas. It’s with a heavy heart that I share this, but I’ve decided to scale back my travel business and will no longer be taking new bookings moving forward, except for my close circle of friends and family. (You know who you are 🫶)

If you’re part of my inner circle, don’t worry, I’ve still got you and will absolutely continue helping with your Universal, Disney, beach, and cruise vacations if you need assistance.

And if you currently have a booking with me, you’ll still receive my normal level of awesomeness and support throughout your trip. I’ve got you too!

This decision didn’t come quickly or easily. The reality is that COVID hit the travel industry — and me — pretty hard. With travel advisors no longer able to sell runDisney bibs and the continually rising cost of Disney vacations, I’ve found that the joy I once had in doing this work just isn’t there right now.

For now, I’ll continue as a travel planner on a smaller scale and will reassess in July to see if this new balance feels right long-term.

I am incredibly grateful to every client who trusted me to plan their vacations. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your memories. It truly meant so much to me.

My agency remains Magical Enchanted Vacations, and I’m happy to connect anyone with another wonderful travel advisor if needed. The MEV family is amazing!

It’s a tough time to be a travel planner in an age where AI and online tools make many people want to plan and control trips themselves. For this season of life, though, its best I scale back

It’s finally officially announced, so now I can share this 🤗

Just Announced 🚨 Royal Caribbean’s all-new Discovery Class is officially locked in with the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France. The first ship in the class is set to debut in 2029, and the second ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2032.

Discovery Class ships will “bring the world closer to our guests” — from cutting-edge design to immersive experiences — while visiting some of the world’s most bucket list-worthy destinations.
