🛎 2026 marks both the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 150th anniversary of Hot Springs, Arkansas! To honor our rich past, we're sharing special pieces of all year long, today highlighting a legend - The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa!

More than a century ago, the Arlington opened at its current downtown location. With any landmark over 100 years old, intriguing stories naturally seem to follow. While skeptics claim the grounds are quiet, many visitors and staff members insist they have encountered unexplainable occurrences throughout the halls.

The hotel's fourth floor holds one of its most famous spaces: Room 443, the Al Capone Suite, where the infamous gangster stayed whenever he spent time in Hot Springs. Though the property is strictly non-smoking, guests staying in the suite often report catching the faint, distinct scent of fresh cigar smoke drifting through the air. Other eerie tales echo throughout the building. Visitors have reported glimpsing a ghostly soldier bathing in the men's bathhouse, shadowy figures roaming the corridors late at night, bathroom faucets turning on by themselves, and chandeliers flickering without a direct cause.

These chilling legends have made the Arlington a prime destination for dark tourism. Restorations have been in progress since 2022 to preserve this beautiful, historic gem. 🎃 The final October series Bridge St. LIVE! is this Thursday, October 29 in downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas!

$1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the Best Halloween Costumes thanks to sponsors Historic District Antiques & The Gangster Museum of America: 1st place $500, 2nd place $300, and 3rd place $200. Judging opens at 7 p.m. on Bridge Street and ends at 8 p.m., winners announced at 8:20 p.m. in front of the stage.

Plus, a FREE live performance by Manhattan Orchestra at 7 p.m., local vendors, a mask making workshop with Jamie Craddock, Arkansas Circus Arts, and delicious food trucks in the Bridge St. LIVE! Entertainment District from 5PM - 10PM.

🎃🍬 Glow on the Row - it's a Hot Springs Halloween tradition! Saturday, October 31, historic downtown Hot Springs transforms into Halloweentown with ghouls and goblins of all ages trick or treating!

Glow on the Row Trick-or-Treating & Harvest Festival kicks off Saturday, October 31 from 5PM - 8PM. Stroll historic downtown as merchants pass out candy AND glow sticks to trick or treaters, leaving downtown Hot Springs aglow on Halloween night.

In addition to Glow on the Row, Boo with a Badge will also be happening on Halloween night in the Bridge St. LIVE! Entertainment District from 5PM - 8:30PM, where kids can trick or treat courtesy of the Hot Springs Police Department. 🦇 Bring the whole family to Glow on the Row and Boo with a Badge for a fun night in Historic Downtown Hot Springs on Halloween!
