✨ I finally got to experience Universal Kids Resort… and I have so much to say! 💙💛💚
I was incredibly honored to be invited by Universal to represent Fairytale Journeys Travel during a special preview before the park’s Grand Opening on July 1—and I can honestly say they created something really special.
The very first thing you’ll notice is the COLOR. Everywhere you look, the park is bright, cheerful, and full of the characters kids know and love. It truly feels like stepping into a storybook designed just for little ones. There are so many great photo ops and character sightings, too!
But what impressed me the most wasn’t a ride—it was the TEAM MEMBERS. ❤️
Every employee I encountered was so patient, encouraging, and kind. I watched them comfort nervous little riders, celebrate brave moments, and interact with families with genuine care… even in the Texas heat! That level of service made such a difference.
The park itself is packed with things to do beyond the rides. Each themed land has interactive play spaces, splash pads, and places for kids to climb, explore, and simply be kids. Universal even thought about the little details, like convenient changing areas for families who wanted to enjoy the water play before heading back to the attractions.
And let’s talk about the size…
Yes, the park is smaller—but that’s exactly the point. It was intentionally designed for young children. Instead of walking miles across a massive theme park in the Texas heat, everything is close together, making it easy for families to enjoy a full day without completely exhausting little legs.
If you’re staying at the hotel, you’ll LOVE the convenience. There’s a dedicated entrance directly between the hotel and the park, making it incredibly easy to head back for a nap, a swim, or just a break before returning for more fun.
As for the rides… don’t expect giant roller coasters. This park wasn’t built for thrill seekers—it was built for KIDS. The attractions are fun, approachable, and age-appropriate. Everywhere I looked, I saw children laughing, smiling, dancing, and having the absolute best time.
⭐ My overall thoughts?
Universal Kids Resort is a fantastic addition for families with young children—especially those of us here in Texas! It’s an easy road trip destination, so you can skip the airfare, and there are countless things to do throughout the DFW Metroplex to turn your visit into a full vacation.
🎈 My recommended age range? I’d say children 7 and under will be absolutely captivated by everything this park has to offer.
As a travel advisor, I love helping families find the destination that’s the right fit for their kids—and for families with younger children, Universal Kids Resort deserves a spot on your vacation list.
If you’d like help planning your visit, I’d love to help make the magic happen! 💙✨
