The older I get, the more I realize that luxury isn’t always about where you stay or how much you spend.

Sometimes it’s simply having the time to be together.

After years of planning trips, I’ve noticed that people rarely talk about the hotel room, the flight, or even the itinerary years later.

I’ve had a lot of travel conversations lately, and one thing keeps coming up.

People aren’t just asking where to go. They’re asking things like:

“Will it be crowded?”
“Will we actually have time to enjoy it?”
“Is it worth spending more on this?”

What stands out to me is that travelers aren’t necessarily doing less. They’re just being more selective.

More selective about what makes it onto the itinerary and about what’s worth paying extra for.

Recent travel trends show people are placing more value on things like less crowding and better use of their time, more flexibility, better overall value, and experiences that match how they actually like to travel

Sometimes they help. But usually the bigger difference is how the trip actually feels once you’re there.
