After almost two decades of designing trips, these are the most important things we’ve learned 👇🏼✈️
Honestly… having this in mind will completely change how you travel!
1. Don’t choose a destination before understanding the season.
We’ve seen people visit incredible places at the wrong time of year and leave thinking the destination was overrated, when in reality… timing was the problem.
2. Don’t book the hotel first just because it looks beautiful online.
Some of the best trips we’ve planned started with understanding how our clients wanted their days to feel (relaxed, walkable, immersive, slow) and THEN choosing where they stay.
3. Don’t try to do too much.
The itineraries people remember the most are rarely the busiest ones. They’re the ones where there was space for spontaneity, long lunches, and moments that weren’t rushed.
4. Always factor transfer times into your plans.
A day can look perfect on paper and still become exhausting if nobody considered traffic, distance, or logistics between experiences.
5. And maybe the biggest one: don’t rely solely on online reviews.
The internet shows popularity. Relationships and firsthand experience show what’s actually worth your time.
Over the years, we’ve learned that luxury travel isn’t about adding more.
✨It’s about designing trips that feel effortless while you’re living them.
