Heads up for the weekend: NV Energy has issued a Public Safety Outage Management watch for parts of the Northern Nevada and the Tahoe Basin, September 12 and 13.
A strong wind event is forecast over very dry conditions. To reduce wildfire risk, NV Energy may temporarily shut off power in specific zones. In our area, the Incline East and Incline Mt. Rose zones are under watch. Glenbrook, Stateline Upper Kingsbury, and Heavenly are also listed.
A watch is not a confirmed outage. It means conditions may warrant one. If NV Energy moves forward, power could go out around 11 a.m. Saturday and stay off until roughly 11 a.m. Sunday, which includes time to inspect lines before restoring service.
If you are visiting this weekend:
Check with your lodging property about their plans. Some businesses may adjust hours. Keep devices charged, keep cash on hand in case card readers are down, and plan for traffic signals to be out in affected areas.
If you live here:
Confirm your contact information with NV Energy so you receive phone, text, and email alerts. Check the outage map at nvenergy.com.

🎸 It's the FINAL Tunes on Tap of 2026 and we're closing it out with a bang.

Travel North Tahoe Nevada is proud to sponsor Alibi Ale Works' Tunes on Tap series, and for our last show we're welcoming a band North Lake Tahoe has grown to love: THE BLUES MONSTERS.

Taking center stage for over 30 years, this red-hot rockin' blues band brings blues, rock + funk straight to your ears. If you've spent any time around the lake, you've likely already caught them - from Street Vibrations to Palisades Tahoe to New Year's Eve at the Ritz. They call it the best blues in Lake Tahoe, and they've got three decades of proof.

The Blues Monsters are: Chuckie Dunn, Tom Barnes, Barry Slayton + Michael Overhauser.

🎻 Tunes on Tap is back this week, and we're bringing in a crowd favorite: DIRTY CELLO.

We've had them on our stage before, and every time it's the same story: big energy, packed forest, everyone dancing to a cello solo they didn't see coming. Led by cellist Rebecca Roudman, this band takes blues, rock, and Americana and runs it through something entirely their own. Come see why.

🗓️ Thursday, August 20 7PM
📍Alibi Amphitheater, Incline Public House in the Magical Mythical Beer Forest

Cello like you've never heard before.
