There are some cities where I always recommend a budget-conscious hotel, because it's truly just somewhere you'll be sleeping.

Seattle doesn't make that list for me.

We were lucky enough to stay at The Inn at the Market before our recent cruise to Alaska, and it was worth every penny.

The legendary Pike Place Market was literal steps away, and having easy access to all the stalls and vendors was beyond convenient. We met our chef-led tour right across the street, and we could watch boats in the bay from our comfy King sized bed. And my husband's quick morning run for coffee and croissants from Pufftown Bakehouse? Priceless.
