Rain in Alaska is one of those things you can almost certainly count on. But, if you pack right, the adventure doesn't have to end.

We rented a car and drove north to the National Shrine of St. Therese, a breathtaking Catholic chapel set back among giant evergreens, overlooking the ocean.

Next step was Eagle Beach, where we we saw eagles and other sea birds, before heading back to town for dinner at the Red Dog Saloon.

Even in the rain, Juneau was a great third stop on our Alaskan itinerary.

Waking up to fresh Alaskan air coming in through our Infinite Veranda windows will never get old.

And when these views are the first you see in the morning, it's impossible to have a bad day.

I am speechless.

Seeing nature on this scale in person takes your breath away. Glacier viewing on an Alaskan cruise is a non-negotiable for me, so make sure your itinerary includes it!
