We’ve gained some new followers and I’ve been asking you to travel with us, but who are we? Allow us to reintroduce ourselves!

I’m Morgan, the voice behind the page. I’m usually answering some of the initial contact with clients and getting things set up for the dream maker to come in.

The dream maker, who has certainly made all MY dreams come true, is Courtney. I’m lucky to call her my wife and best friend, but she is your personal travel advisor.

We’ve been married for 6 years and have two dogs- they are the very bestest girls. The hardest part of traveling is leaving them!

We also own a small private mental health practice in Greenwood. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and Court is a therapist. The two fields overlap in more ways than you might imagine. We get some raised eyebrows when people realize we run two businesses together - “how do you do it? Do you get tired of each other?” We are almost eerily alike and different. My weaknesses are her strengths and the opposite. Court told me early on, “we play for the same team” and that has been the foundation of our lives and businesses. Love. Respect. Teamwork.

When we aren’t traveling or working, we enjoy spending time with friends and family, supporting local theater, trying new restaurants, and are season ticket holders for the Indiana Fever. And while we might seem really “on the go” we are home bodies just the same and love being at home with our girls.

Traveling the world together will forever be our greatest passion. When we started RLT, we had no idea it would take off like it has. This is in large part due to Courtney being great at her job, but a major part is because of you reading this and sharing our name. Just today we had two new people reach out saying they were referred to us by someone else. I said it before, a repeat client and a referral is the greatest compliment. We will never take for granted that you are putting your trust in us.

For those who’ve been here the whole time, thank you for sticking around. For the newbies, welcome! We look forward to helping you see the world! 🥂

We talked to a ton of other travel advisors this week in Lisbon. Consistently, we heard the same thing when asked “how do you get your clients?” The answer - word of mouth.

We depend on you to tell your friends, families, co-workers and even strangers about us! We love hearing how people find out about us. And like all the travel advisors we spoke to, word of mouth is our biggest marketing tool as well. And I’m not even mad that it isn’t my thoughtfully crafted posts doing the heavy lifting. 😉 The biggest compliment we can get is a return client and a referral. That means we are doing something right!

We have made some great connections in Lisbon, and we will use the knowledge gained to make YOUR vacations even better!

We see the trends of AI in travel. “Chat, give me a 5 day itinerary for Italy.” And it will put together something that on the surface level looks good. AI doesn’t know the human logistics to travel -especially timing. As humans, we do. AI doesn’t have connections. We do!

We met the co-owner of AmaWaterways, Gary Murphy, and had dinner and drinks with him talking about travel and life. We sat with in destination experts from Italy and Greece that have teams on the ground for you in those countries when you book with us. Chat can’t give you that.

Human connection MATTERS. We thank you for continuing to trust us to book your vacations. We know that traveling is an investment of your time, your money, and your memories. We will never take that for granted!

We have arrived like royalty to Pestana Palace Lisboa for our 3 night conference with our host agency. From presidents to music icons like Prince and Madonna, this hotel has provided a refined experience for many and now we are lucky to be included. 👸🏻 👸🏼

The palace was commissioned by José Luís Constantino Dias, Marquess of Valle‐Flôr. Born in 1855 into a farming family in Trás os Montes, he left for São Tomé at the age of 16, where he established himself in business during a period when the island was becoming a major cocoa producer. He amassed a fortune and gained prestige at the Portuguese court, first as a viscount, then as a count and finally as a marquess.

In 1890, at the height of his success, José Luís Constantino Dias commissioned the construction of the Palácio de Valle Flôr as a family residence in Lisbon, on land granted by the Crown. The project, begun by the Italian architect Nicola Bigaglia and completed by José Ferreira da Costa, brought together architectural and decorative work from Parisian ateliers, establishing the palace as a centrepiece of Lisbon's social life.

May 2001, the former private palace reopened as the Pestana Palace Lisboa, following a decade of restoration. The building was reborn as a refined hotel and living museum, where guests from around the world discover one of Lisbon's most remarkable stories.
