Where is the summer going?! ☀️

I've been a little quiet on social media because it's been a busy season behind the scenes! I've been helping clients plan fall and winter vacations, weekend escapes, and college football and parent weekends... and I am loving every minute of it.

Another fun summer trip in the books! 🌲🚲

✅Booked. 2-night Seattle getaway for my clients at the boutique hotel, Staypineapple. Added perk of complimentary rental bikes...a perfect way to explore Seattle's waterfront, neighborhoods, and local favorites.

One of my favorite parts of planning travel is personally curating each client's experience. I love finding those little extras that make a trip even more memorable. For this getaway, I also shared some of favorite bike routes, great restaurants, and a few must-see spots around the city so they can experience Seattle like a local.

I was also able to secure a rate that was 15% lower than the hotel's public price. Something many travelers don't realize is that hotels don't publish just one rate—they often offer private, unpublished pricing through wholesale partners and trusted travel networks. Part of my job is doing the research to access those behind-the-scenes rates whenever possible, helping my clients get great value without having to do all the digging themselves.

✈️ Before you start counting down to your next adventure… let’s make sure you’re ready to go!

One thing I’ve learned is that the little details can make a BIG difference. A little preparation before you leave can help prevent stress and allow you to focus on what really matters—enjoying every moment of your journey.

Here are travel tips I always share with my clients:

✅ Check that passport! Many destinations require at least 6 months of validity beyond your travel dates. Don't let an expired passport put a pause on your dream vacation.

✅ Keep backup copies of your important documents. Save digital copies of your passport, travel insurance, flight confirmations, hotel reservations, and other important travel documents somewhere you can access them if your phone is lost, stolen, or damaged. I also recommend carrying a printed copy of your passport and itinerary in a separate bag—just in case.

✅ Know your booking details. ✈️ Nonrefundable usually means exactly that, so it's important to understand cancellation policies and your options before you book.

✅ Bring the right payment options. 💳 A credit card is a must-have travel companion for hotels, rental cars, and unexpected expenses along the way.

✅ Learn a little before you go. 🌍 Understanding local customs, etiquette, and traditions helps you travel more confidently while showing respect for the places you're visiting.

✅ Protect your investment. 🧳 Travel insurance helps protect the time, money, and excitement you've put into planning your trip—because sometimes life has other plans.

❤️Friday Feature Stay - Moab has always held a special place in my heart.

For more than 30 years, I've been camping, hiking, biking, and exploring this incredible corner of Utah. No matter how many times I visit, it feels just as magical as it did the first time.

One of my favorite Moab memories is staying at Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa with my parents when they came to visit. Watching them fall in love with Moab reminded me why I keep coming back. This resort qu**ky became one of their favorite places too. The apple definitely doesn't fall far from the tree. ❤️

✈️ Europe Travel Tip!

One of the biggest surprises travelers encounter in Europe? Hotel room categories can be very different from what we're used to in the U.S.

When booking your hotel, always be sure to specify your preferred bed configuration. In many European hotels, a "Double" room means one bed for two people, while a "Twin" room means two separate beds—and hotels typically take that distinction very seriously.

Whether you're traveling as a couple, with friends, or with family, confirming your bed setup in advance can make a big difference in your comfort and overall experience.
