Our 2nd favorite thing to do besides skiing powder...watching lions, leopards & elephants from a jeep in Africa :) And, we've set up a trip for Oct 1-10, 2026. Japan 2026 #2: It’s been one of those epic trips where guests say ‘best day ever’ (each day)…”omg, that was deepest, lightest snow ever”, etc. Today, it was “5-6 inches overnight” (according to local forecasts) that was KNEE deep!, then soaking/melting in the Onsen, followed by a Sushi chef coming to the house … yes, we’re in a powder and food coma 🙂. 240” of snow so far for January….Yep - 20 feet!!

Our Niseko Japan trips have been pretty epic this month with 6-12” inches every day except one! We were looking at upcoming forecasts and we are absolutely in thbeat place right now 🙂 “snow in next 3 days”:

Ski Powder in 2026! Are you excited? Are you planning your trips? Are you getting your legs in shape? We, at Ski Ride Tours, are hammering the lunges, squats, box jumps, hurdles, etc. to make sure the legs are ready. We highly encourage you to put in the work so you'll perform better and prevent injury.

Well… What happens when the snow quits falling? Are you the type to hang it up for the summer or chase turns as long as you can?

Lord knows we are missing deep powder; but for now, we’ll keep on walkin’ & searching for remnants of winter in between planning next year’s trips.
