How do YOU think Devil’s Jump got its name? 😳👇

Around 1819, men drilling for salt water near Bear Creek struck oil instead.

Legend says they called it “Devil’s Tar.” Later, when a raft carrying the oil overturned in these rapids, the Devil was blamed for “jumping” aboard to take it back. 👿

And Devil’s Jump got its name.
