A lot of people think being a luxury travel advisor is fun, easy, and a side gig. This couldn’t be further from accurate. Yes, some days can be fun, rewarding or satisfying, but 95% of the time I’m over here grinding long hours, after hours and weekends. I do it for my clients though!

If you’re planning a trip to London, be sure to plan ahead. There are several experiences and monuments that you must purchase an entry for in advance, especially if visiting during high season. If you simply walk up and expect to have access, you will likely be out of luck.

Westminster Abbey is just one example! Be sure to book a tour or pre-purchase timed entry tickets if you wish to visit the interior. And believe me, it’s well worth the planning to experience this royal unesco site. Expect to spend 1-2 hours touring the Abbey!

A black cab, a double decker bus, and an Abbey. Does it get any more English than this? I had to chuckle at this unintentional photo that my daughter captured.

It’s been a crazy August already, traveling around the UK (with the kids). I’ll be playing catch up for a while, but forever grateful to work in a dedicated family trip this summer. More to come soon!
