As if Disney doesnโt absolutely DOMINATE the cruise industry with their service alreadyโฆ they took it up several notches with Concierge, which is basically a VIP level of cruising with premium perks!
Last week, I splurged with a few agency friends, and we put Concierge to the test on the Disney Wish. I absolutely loved:
๐ Concierge Check-In - So quick and easy!
๐ Boarding the ship early - We had boarding group 1, and even though we were led immediately on to the ship and didnโt need it, there is an area for waiting, separate from standard passengers.
๐ Concierge Lounge - A super quiet escape from the rest of the public areas, complimentary food options rotate throughout the day, the concierge team is always at-the-ready, they serve alcoholic beverages every evening, and itโs connected to the Concierge Sun Deck, an outdoor lounge that also has a hot tub!
๐ Concierge Team - I cannot say enough about this team! One of the biggest perks is being able to go to them for help or questions rather than the regular Guest Services desk, which almost always has a line. The team assists with everything from embarkation to disembarkation, and they are a pivotal daily part of making your cruise go incredibly smooth!
๐ Early booking - Priority access to reserving shore excursions, cabanas, and onboard activities. However, we booked our cruise kind of late in the game and Palo reservations were already goneโฆ one e-mail to the Concierge team, and they were able to get us a reservation, though!
๐ VIP show experiences - No fighting for good seats. 30 minutes before showtime, Concierge guests are led into the theater for front row seats. They also hand out free popcorn and water!
๐ Free WiFi - Paying for internet in a cruise ship is something I detest, so this is a nice perk!
๐ Upgraded room amenities - The MATTRESS, the LINENS, omg, itโs Heaven! You also get plush robes, slippers, your selection of pillows, and a beautiful shower with upgraded finishes.
๐ Priority Disembarkation - Okay, I loved this part more than I expected. Waking up early and fighting lines to get off the ship isnโt fun, but our Concierge team led us down the elevators and walked us directly off the ship, past the lines of other guests!
Wow, thatโs a lot. But it was a LOT!!
If you are someone who wants your vacation to relieve maximum stress or you enjoy saving time and having someone else take care of the things while you travel, Concierge cruising is definitely worth a try. It may not be for every budget, but if you have the opportunity, itโs an experience I highly recommend!
