POV: You had a one day meeting on the other side of the island and it turned into a last minute weekend staycation. 🌴

Came to the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows for a business meeting on Friday… and loved it so much we ended up booking a last-minute staycation 🌴☀️

Sometimes you just need a change of scenery, ocean air, and a few slower mornings to reset.

Where’s the best spot to learn to surf in Kihei? 🏄‍♀️

We get asked that all the time! And the answer is “The Cove!” Located centrally in Kihei, the Cove is the best spot for beginners to learn to surf. The waves don’t get too big and are usually fairly consistent. There are several surf schools that provide lessons. Right across the street from the cove is the HI Tech surf shop where you can rent surfboards and paddle boards.

The best time or day is always in the morning when the wind is calm and the waves are more consistent just before low tide.

It’s also a great beach, especially for small kids to enjoy the calm waters.

There are showers to hose off and restrooms. A short walk away there is also volleyball, sand courts, picnic tables, and shady spots to watch the waves.
