People of Kings Mountain
"I grew up in Charlotte, and life has a funny way of bringing you exactly where you’re meant to be. I went to Providence High School, and my wife grew up in Bessemer City and went to school there. That’s really how we ended up putting down roots out here and building a life together locally.
"Today, we’re raising our three little girls — ages seven, four, and two — and they are the heart behind everything we do. Our youngest daughter was born with diastrophic dysplasia, a form of dwarfism, and she’s taught us more about strength, joy, and perspective than we ever could have imagined. She inspires our family every single day.
"Cooking started for me when I was young. At first, it was just something I loved doing — a hobby that brought people together. Over time, that passion grew into something much bigger. What started small eventually became a food truck, and before long, we were traveling all over Gaston and Cleveland counties, serving food at festivals and community events. Those years taught us a lot about hard work, family, and the power of connecting with people through a good meal.
"Now, for the first time, we’ve stepped into our own brick-and-mortar building here in Kings Mountain at 238 South Cherokee Street, and it’s a dream come true for our family. It’s more than just a restaurant to us — it’s a place where we hope people feel welcome, comfortable, and connected.
"What we love most about this town is the small-town feel. Around here, it feels like everybody knows everybody, and there’s something special about that sense of community. We’re excited not just to serve food, but to truly be part of the community and contribute to what makes this place feel like home."
