Spend a day with me at... Magic Kingdom!
I am not at all new to Walt Disney World (I've been going since I was a kid and can plan a great vacation there no problem) but I am new to being local to the area and being able to go to the parks when I have the time! So, in an effort to make some friends who also like going to the parks I joined a Disney women's meet up group!
We planned to meet at Magic Kingdom and Initially there were 5 of us and we decided to get a castle pictures to commemorate the 1st meet up! (Castle pix are def a must do for an MK day!) We were still waiting on 2 more new friends to join us and the timing worked in our favor because the cavalcade was about to start coming down Main Street. A few of the ladies watched that as I pin traded in the Emporium.
Once the cavalcade ended and the other 2 ladies found us we all headed to get some water from Casey's corner (always remember to stay hydrated while at the parks the FL sun and heat are no joke and you can get FREE ice water from any quick service food spot) Then we made our way to ride Pirates of the Caribbean! I was happy to see that a tank top I had been wanting finally got more stock and finally had my size so I bought that before we all made our way to get a refreshing and sweet treat to help beat the heat!
I had mentioned recently trying the Tropical Serenade Float from Aloha Isle and that it was now in my rotation of my have snacks at MK (if you haven't had POG juice or like me can't get enough of it it should def be on your list of my try snacks too!) Another new friend had reached out and was wanting to meet up with us as she was on a solo Disney trip and caught up with us to ride Haunted Mansion. While chatting in line a few of us realized we were pin traders and traded while we waiting to get on the ride.
After leaving the house of happy haunts it was time for some lunch! A few of use decided on my fav spot to grab a decently healthy light meal, Columbia Harbor House! (I like to snack throughout the day so a kids salmon meal hits the spot portion wise while also being a healthy option for the day. (I always recommend ordering a kids meal)
After lunch, a few people decided to ride It's A Small World but I decided to meet up with the other women to pin trade and do a little shopping! My last stop for the day was to get the build your own candy popcorn (something I had not done before) to take back home for a tasty sweet treat later!
While I do enjoy going to the parks solo sometimes putting yourself out there to make some new friends can make the day just a little more magical!
