Honeymoon Throwback!✨
In September 2021, my husband and I took our very first international trip (and our honeymoon!) to Sandals South Coast in Jamaica—and y’all… it was PURE magic. 🏝️💍🌅
Neither of us had ever been to an all-inclusive before, and let me tell you… this set the bar high. We stayed for 5 nights, didn’t plan a single thing ahead of time—and still somehow did SO much. We floated between the beach and pool, ate at all the restaurants we were curious about, and soaked in the most beautiful sunsets every night before dinner. 🧡🌊
One thing that made a huge difference as first-time international travelers? The Sandals transfers. ✈️🚐 From the moment we landed, everything was taken care of. We were greeted at the airport, our bags were loaded, and we were whisked away in an air-conditioned ride straight to the resort—no stress, no guessing, just vacation mode from the start. 🙌
We tried all kinds of new food (when in Jamaica, right?!), but one of our favorite meals was actually lunch at Schooners, right on the beach. It was simple, delicious, and super romantic. 🍤🥥🌴
And the rain? It came and went—and actually made for one of our favorite memories. One afternoon we dashed through the rain to Café de Paris for crepes and dessert (priorities 😂). Then we hit the pool when it cleared up… only for the rain to start again. So we called it a night, ordered room service, and curled up on the balcony listening to the ocean and the rain. It was unplanned, super chill—and absolutely perfect. 🛎️🍰🌧️
My quick tips if you're headed to Sandals:
☀️ Take a midday break if you're sun-sensitive (like me!)
☔ Expect a little rain—it comes and goes fast
📅 You don’t need to plan it all. Trust me, the fun finds you.
