Disney Dining Plan: worth it?
It depends.

ā€¢Financially: it can be, particularly when there is a deal or promo going on (like kids 3-9 are free in 2026).

ā€¢Convenience: it definitely can be, especially if youā€™re someone that likes to pre budget food expenses into your overall vacation costs and prepay.

The line gets blurry if your travel party is less into meals and more into snacking (or grazing as I like to call it!!)

I was not overly worried about maximizing the plan this trip but we still came out ā€œaheadā€ even without always ordering the most expensive choices.

Come visit Universalā€™s Stella Nova Resort āœØšŸŖšŸŒ–

One of Universal Orlandoā€™s newest resorts, in close proximity to Epic Universe (accessible by walking path!)

My familyā€™s favorite part? The pool - spacious, plenty of chairs, and even had complimentary floats and beach balls. An outdoor pool bar, games on the deck, and great playlist made for some very fun swim breaks.

Are the ride wait times actually worth it during an after hours event/party at Disney World?
Take a look for yourself ā€¦

We found most rides to be a very short 5-10 minute wait, and even the longest posted times for top rides like Tron were moving along faster than advertised!

Have you ever stayed at one of Walt Disney Worldā€™s original resorts?

Disneyā€™s Contemporary Resort is a beautiful, classic resort option just steps away from the Magic Kingdom, and with the monorail running right through its main tower!

Plenty of dining options, a pool and splash play area, and convenience that truly canā€™t be beat!

My family of 4 attended the Not So Scary Halloween party last Sunday - hereā€™s what we did during our time in Magic Kingdom!

We entered a little after 4 (hoping the rain would slow down, and it did!)

The kids were super excited to do rides, so that was our focus, along with some trick or treating.

Timed our ride on Big Thunder juuuuust right and we saw the fireworks while on the ride - super cool experience!

Finally, we watched the parade and then walked back to our room at Disneyā€™s Contemporary Resort - so nice not having to wait for a bus to get back ā€œhomeā€

Hereā€™s a recap of our 4 park challenge from Monday!

It was a very long and hot day, but we hit all our goals!

ā€¢visit each WDW theme park
ā€¢photo with each parkā€™s icon
ā€¢something to eat in each park
ā€¢at least one major ride per park
ā€¢as many forms of transportation as possible!

All of that on less than 5 hours of sleep, and had to pack up our luggage in order to checkout of Contemporary and head to our Universal hotel!
