🌲There’s something special about Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — it gives you all the magic of Disney while somehow still feeling like a peaceful escape.
From the moment we walked into the massive lobby, I was hooked. It has unmistakable Disney touches, woven into something warm, cozy, & inviting. And the smell? Someone please bottle that up and let me take it home.
We stayed in a spacious, comfortable King room with a partial fireworks view. We couldn’t see the castle itself, but we could see the larger Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony - a pretty magical bonus at the end of the day.
Transportation was another win. We loved taking the water taxi to Magic Kingdom, and the buses made it easy to get to the other parks and Disney Springs.
Our first meal of the trip was at Geyser Point Bar & Grill - the setting alone made it memorable. Open-air, covered, relaxed, fans keeping things comfortable, & gorgeous waterfront views. Their Bison Cheeseburger is rumored to be one of the best burgers on Disney property, so we had to try it. My husband and I split the meal and agreed: juicy, tender, flavorful, & absolutely lived up to the hype.
While our trip was adults-only this time, it's easy to understand why families love Wilderness Lodge. Whispering Canyon has a playful, lively energy that turns a meal into an experience. Our kids have loved the family-style dinner there - especially the bottomless milkshakes - while the servers’ good humor and antics were the real standout. Roaring Fork is also available when you need something quick & easy.
After staying here, I’d absolutely come back — next time, I’d love to experience some of the other room options and book a reservation for Story Book Dining at Artist Point!
