An insider tip from us to you: the best time to start planning a seasonal escape is right when the season ends.

7Pines Sardinia just closed its doors for the season, but the savvy traveler is already dreaming about next spring and summer: sun-soaked coves, La Maddalena views, and a table at Michelin-starred Capogiro. 🍷

Doors reopen in late April 2027 — so save this reel, send it to the person you’d want on that terrace with you, and let’s get you first pick of dates. 🌊

A question we hear from clients who have already done Tokyo and Kyoto: what does round two of Japan look like?

One of our favorite answers is Amanemu, Aman's hot spring resort on the Ise-Shima peninsula, a coastline of green coves and fishing villages a couple of hours southeast of Kyoto and Osaka. Every suite and villa has its own onsen bath fed by mineral-rich thermal springs, so you get Japan's beloved bathing ritual in complete privacy. No shared pools or second-guessing the etiquette.

It shines brightest on a return trip, slow and deeply Japanese in a way the big cities can't be. First-timers shouldn't rule it out either: tack three nights onto the end of a Tokyo and Kyoto route, and you'll fly home rested instead of running on fumes.

First visit or fifth, Japan always has more to give. Reach out, and we'll start planning.

Egypt has been on bucket lists for about 4,000 years, and it has never been a better trip than right now.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is finally open in full, with Tutankhamun's complete collection displayed together for the first time in history. Pair it with sunrise at the pyramids before the crowds arrive, a few nights sailing the Nile on a private dahabiya, and the Valley of the Kings with an expert Egyptologist bringing every painted wall to life.

October through April is prime season on the Nile. Reach out, and we'll get you there.

The hotel currently ranked #9 in the world isn't on a beach. It's deep in the Yucatán jungle.

Chablé Yucatán, a restored 19th-century hacienda outside Mérida, holds the #9 spot on the World's 50 Best Hotels list and was just named the Best Hotel in North America for the third year in a row.

The claim to fame is the spa, built around a natural cenote, one of the underground pools the Maya considered sacred. It was the first spa in the world designed that way.

Every casita comes with its own private pool and jungle views. Dinner is its own event too, with menus shaped by Jorge Vallejo of Mexico City's famed Quintonil and a tequila library so deep it earned a Guinness World Record.

Advisor tip: pair it with the ruins of Uxmal and a day in Mérida's colonial center. Mexico beyond the beach is one of our favorite trips to plan. Let's talk.

Croatia keeps landing on our clients’ wish lists, and it’s easy to see why.

More than a thousand islands along the Adriatic. Medieval walled towns like Dubrovnik and Korčula. Cascading waterfalls in the national parks, and truffles and w**e in Istria.

For those drawn to the water, a week aboard a crewed yacht offers time to explore quiet coves, linger over waterfront lunches, and discover a different island each day.

Our planning tip? Consider June or September for fewer peak-season crowds.

September is especially lovely for swimming after the summer sun has warmed the sea.

Your escape, thoughtfully planned. Message North Shore Travel to start creating your Croatia journey.

Portugal may draw you in with its coastline, but there’s so much more to fall in love with. Here are five places we love building a journey around.

Lisbon brings hilltop viewpoints, tiled streets, and memorable dining, with the fairytale palaces of Sintra nearby.

The Douro Valley pairs terraced vineyards with tastings at historic quintas and leisurely stays overlooking the river.

The Alentejo invites you to slow down among cork forests, sprawling w**e estates, and whitewashed villages.

Madeira offers lush mountains, scenic levada walks, and dramatic ocean views, with time to explore Funchal’s gardens and restaurants.

The Algarve rounds out the journey with golden cliffs, tucked-away coves, fresh seafood, and long afternoons by the sea.

Which would you explore first? Let North Shore Travel create a Portugal itinerary around you.
