They are more than happy to customize your pilgrimage trip to meet your specific travel needs. WHY TOUR THE HOLY LAND WITH
GOODSHEPHERD TRAVEL? Goodshepherd Travel is a family-run Christian business with deep ties to the Holy Land. It is owned and operated by Tony Abuaita who grew up in Beit Sahour, one of the largest Christian communities in the Middle East, before moving to the United States in

1990. Beit Sahour is only a few miles from Bethlehem and is well known for the production of olive wood handicrafts often purchased by pilgrims. Goodshepherd Travel was established for one purpose: to bring Christians from the United States to the Holy Land on safe, affordable and meaningful pilgrimages in order to better their understanding of their faith, and to help support the Christian presence in his home country. Most tour operators in the United States use large tourist firms that conduct their tours in the Holy Land the same way they would put together a program in any other part of the world. Goodshepherd Travel uses Christian guides, and Christian-owned hotels, restaurants, shops and other service providers whenever and wherever possible, as a means to support the local Christian community. We are ready to make your pilgrimage to the Holy Land a spiritual experience that will be a life-changing moment for you, your friends, family, faith community and fellow pilgrims. Goodshepherd Travel was established to provide a quality option for Christians to have a comprehensive, spiritual pilgrimage that would allow for participants to truly understand the Holy Land. It’s not enough simply to be chaperoned from site to site and be told what you are looking at. A true pilgrimage allows for the pilgrim to enrich their knowledge and understanding of the sites important to their faith, and to live their faith through the five senses of hearing, taste, touch, smell and sight, creating a truly unique experience. Goodshepherd Travel facilitates your pilgrimage by handling all the details; from airfare to a custom itinerary to ground arrangements (including guides, ground transportation, accommodations and meals). Any special requests that a group may have to visit a particular site, meet with a particular religious order or individual, or to stop a little longer at a particular sight that has a special meaning to the group or an individual pilgrim can be accommodated. Each pilgrimage must reflect the unique characteristics and nature of the particular group. We will work with you and to make sure that happens.

What if these stones could remember?
For nearly 2,000 years, they have been standing here.
☀️ Under the heat of the Galilean sun. 👣 Under the footsteps of fishermen. 🕰️ Under the weight of generations that came and disappeared.
Capernaum doesn’t tell its story with grand monuments. It whispers through black basalt walls, worn doorways, ancient streets, and stones shaped by ordinary hands.
And when the crowd disappears… 🤫
when the talking stops… you can almost imagine the village coming back to life.
👣 The footsteps.
🗣️ The voices.
🎣 The fishermen returning from the lake.

Carved from Volcanic Stone

Capernaum isn’t built from soft limestone—it was raised from dense, rough black basalt born of ancient volcanic flows around the Sea of Galilee.
Every foundation, doorway, and domestic wall still carries that dark, porous texture, holding heat under the sun just as it did two millennia ago. Standing here, you feel the raw weight of a fishing village that lived, worked, and walked on these stones long before history remembered their names.
Sound on. Let the quiet sink in.

A 2,000-year-old discovery hidden under the mud of Galilee 🌊🏛️

Known in antiquity as Migdal (meaning tower), this Galilean town was the home of Mary Magdalene and a major center of fishing and fish-salting along the lake.

Because this synagogue was active throughout the early 1st century, it is one of the few excavated sites where Jesus and His followers almost certainly taught and walked.

Is a hot air balloon over Luxor worth the 4:30 AM wakeup call? Absolutely 100%. 🎈✨

Watching the sunrise paint the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon in gold is an unforgettable perspective on ancient Thebes.

Where ancient words were hidden in silence for 2,000 years. 📜✨

Standing between the Judean desert cliffs and the Dead Sea at Qumran. In these rugged caves, thousands of scroll fragments—the oldest known biblical manuscripts—remained untouched until a shepherd tossed a stone into a dark opening in 1947.
