Okay fellow fans… if you haven’t watched the Apple TV show, WATCH 👏🏾 IT 👏🏾
I loved it so much I started reading the books immediately after — and I’m wrapping up Dust now. So imagine my absolute surprise standing in Cape Town and discovering… SILO 1 😭😂
Okay technically it’s not THE Silo lol — but this beautiful museum instantly brought the world of the books to life for me. The spiral staircases, the concrete structure, the industrial design, the feeling of descending deeper and deeper… it felt eerily familiar.
Unlike the books, this one had sunlight, windows, art, and incredible views of Cape Town — but structurally? My mind immediately went there.
One of my favorite parts of traveling is when fiction, imagination, history, and real life unexpectedly collide.
Also highly recommend visiting this museum if you’re in Cape Town. Absolutely stunning architecture and such a unique experience.
Now excuse me while I continue mentally preparing for Season 3 🫠
