✈️ Travel Tip Thursday✈️

Heads up, fellow travelers! TSA just rolled out new rules that could totally throw off your packing game.

🚫 What’s banned in checked baggage now?
Cordless hair tools like curling irons, flat irons, and straighteners powered by lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries, gas/butane fuel, or gas cartridges are now officially prohibited in checked luggage.

✅ What’s still allowed?
These styling tools can still go in your carry-on, but only if they have a safety cover to prevent accidental activation. Traditional plug-in (corded) hair tools remain permitted in both carry-ons and checked bags.

Why the crackdown? These gadgets pose a fire hazard in cargo areas where no one can quickly respond to an incident.

✈️ Travel Tip Thursday ✈️

Attention DFW travelers:

Starting the first week of August, DFW Airport has launched a major construction project that’s changing traffic routes around Terminals A, B, and C. Expect detours, demolition, and new roadways being built. All part of the International Parkway Project.

🚧 Here’s what you need to know:
• After August 6, Terminal B is only accessible from the south entrance. Coming from the north? You’ll need to U-turn before the North Exit Plaza.
• Passengers leaving Terminal A will be rerouted through the North Exit for re-entry onto the parkway.
• Look out for orange cones, caution tape, and detour signs throughout the airport.

💡 Pro Tip: Give yourself extra time! Arrive at least 2 hours early for domestic flights and 3 hours early for international to avoid any last-minute stress.

📍These detours are expected to last about 90 days, so plan accordingly if you’re flying this fall.

Before leaving your hotel or resort, double-check that your luggage is loaded before you get into the vehicle. It’s the best way to make sure your bags leave when you do.🧳

Pro Tip💡 : When going through TSA, place valuables like your phone, wallet, and watch inside your personal item or carry-on instead of loose in the bin. It makes them much harder for thieves to grab during security screening.
