Whether you've got a long weekend, a random Friday off, or you're just craving a change of scenery without blowing your budget, here are a few of my go-to drives from the DMV area:

๐Ÿ”๏ธ Shenandoah Valley: Hiking, wineries, and mountain air.
๐ŸŽธ Charlottesville: Food, culture, and gorgeous scenery.
๐ŸŒŠ Virginia Beach: Still warm, less crowded in August.
๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Staunton: One of the cutest small town you haven't visited yet. (Hot Tip: Queen City Mischief & Magic is an amazing Harry Potter themed weekend in September)
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Washington DC: If you're nearby, you might be sitting on a gold mine of FREE museums and experiences!
