🏰 Disney Resort Tip: The “best” Disney resort might not be the same for every family!

Choosing where to stay is about so much more than picking the prettiest room.

When I’m looking at resort options, I consider things like:

✨ Budget
🚡 Transportation and location
🎢 Which parks you plan to visit most
🏊 How much time you’ll actually spend at the resort
🍽️ Dining options
🛏️ Room size and sleeping arrangements
🌴 And most importantly—the kind of vacation you want!

A peaceful cabin surrounded by trees? A resort with convenient transportation? Something with incredible theming and amenities? There isn’t one right answer.

The best Disney resort is the one that fits YOUR trip. 🏰✨

One of our favorite things to do at Disney is look for all the little details that are so easy to walk right past!

We found this Hidden Mickey near The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, just outside the Jasmine character meet-and-greet in Magic Kingdom. 🏰✨

Next time you’re in Adventureland, keep an eye on the ground. You never know where a little Disney magic might be hiding! 🐭

There’s something about standing in front of Cinderella Castle that never gets old. No matter how many times we visit, that feeling of walking into Magic Kingdom is still just as special.

🎃🍂 August means one thing at Walt Disney World... Halloween has arrived! 🍂🎃

It always amazes me how quickly Disney transforms from summer to fall. One day it's sunshine and summer vibes, and the next you're walking down Main Street, U.S.A. surrounded by pumpkins, autumn decorations, and all the cozy fall feels.

And here's the best part...

You don't have to wait until October to experience it! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, fall treats, festive décor, and Halloween merchandise all begin well before the calendar says it's fall.

If you've been dreaming of a Disney vacation, August and September can be a fantastic time to experience the parks with a completely different atmosphere.

Who's ready for pumpkin wreaths, Boo-to-You Parade, and Mickey-shaped Halloween treats? 🎃🏰

✨ You Don't Have to Buy Lightning Lanes ✨

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear about Walt Disney World is that you have to purchase Lightning Lanes to enjoy the parks.

After our recent trip, I'm here to tell you... you absolutely don't.

Did we wait in lines? Of course! But for the vast majority of attractions, the standby waits were completely reasonable, especially if you arrive early, use the afternoon for shows or a meal, and take advantage of lower waits in the evening. In fact, recent crowd levels have made standby lines more manageable than they have been in previous years.

Lightning Lanes can absolutely be worth it for some families, especially if you're visiting during a busy holiday week, have limited time, or have certain "must-do" attractions.

But if they're outside your budget, don't let that stop you from planning your Disney vacation.

There are plenty of ways to have an amazing day without paying extra. A little planning goes a long way, and some of our favorite memories this trip came while simply enjoying the parks instead of rushing from reservation to reservation.

Disney is magical whether you purchase Lightning Lanes or not. ❤️🏰
