Another shot of the Stones cobra head, for its time a very tall and monolithic structure for a rock band tour set. This was A/B rigs where one steel build would leap frog another set of steel due its one week long build time. In those days OSHA oversight was pretty much a myth and I do remember hammers wrench and pagers occasionally falling to the deck beside fire line of union steel builders handling up the old school ledgers and standards that were no joke. No harness on anyone officially up to 115 ft in the air- i wore a rock climbers style with a piece of webbing and a biner i hoped maybe would catch me. A full size crane brought in construction rated I beams for the spans right beside us. A tour rigger I remember named Russell free walked those beams in order to fasten the bolts. Literally living life on the edge!
