Created by an all-women team of A-level tour managers, The Optimists was founded with one simple purpose: to meaningfully improve the travel management experience for tour, production and business managers so they

can enjoy a better quality of life both on and off the road. Searching through endless emails to find flight confirmation numbers? Looking for receipts for your end-of-tour reconciliation? We created the agency we’d want to work with, and think you will too. We know details matter, so we’ve built a premier travel management agency that provides white-glove service to clients as they travel and tour around the globe. We research, book and coordinate hotels, flights and ground transportation, as well as luxury and adventure experiences. Our raison d'être is to manage the data and take care of the details, saving you time, money and uncertainty so you can take care of your people—and have fun doing it.

The Optimists headed to Mound, Minnesota for this year’s team retreat, and it was packed with meaningful moments from start to finish. The days were filled with team bonding, impactful volunteer work, and productive meetings at our new headquarters, The Bright Spot.

From waking up along Lake Minnetonka at the beautiful Shoreline Hotel to celebrating the ribbon cutting at The Bright Spot, every moment brought the team closer. We volunteered with WeCAN, tested our skills as game show contestants, celebrated one another during team awards, and toured The Hotel Landing before a team dinner at Belle & Grey.

The retreat also featured time with travel industry legend Bonnie Lee and an impactful, in-person DEI session with Seena Hodges. We even squeezed in some local flair with hot dish and pull tabs.

It flew by, but the retreat left us more connected, energized, and excited to bring that energy into our work for clients!
