We can’t believe it’s already been an entire year since we landed in New York City for our first sailing out of the Port of Manhattan! 🚢🗽

I don’t think either of us expected to love our time in the Big Apple as much as we did!

We stayed in Midtown Manhattan, which was a great location for sightseeing — especially for our first time in NYC and having limited time!

Have you ever gone parasailing? 🪂 How was it? 👀

We just had our very first parasailing experience in Clearwater Beach, Florida, and we had a really good time!

One of us is afraid of heights, and the other is afraid of open water, but somehow we mustered up the courage to spontaneously book this excursion with Clearwater Parasail—and we were glad we did!

The vibes on the boat on the way out into the Gulf were cool, and the group that we went with was perfect. It was everybody’s first time except for one couple, and of course, we were all scared. 😂

The initial takeoff from the boat into the air was pretty intense, yet fun nonetheless, but once we got up into the air, it was one of the most exhilarating and relaxing experiences!

It’s almost like time stood still while we were up there, and the whole world was drowned out while we soared above the Gulf like pelicans. 😂😂

We’re glad we tried it and will likely do it again, but we want to hear from you! Have you ever done it? Are you afraid to do it? What was your first experience like?

Whaaaaaat’s up, Travel Tribe?

We’ve been quiet for a while, and we apologize for that. Aside from our travel and our content creation, we both work full time jobs, run our travel agency, and take care of two dogs and a cat at home. Needless to say, sometimes life gets busy 🥴.

Since our April sailing out of Los Angeles, we have been busy working and enjoying the summer at home in Cleveland. July took us to Detroit for a family reunion and this past week we took a small trip to Clearwater beach for a much needed reset.

So, what do we have coming up for the rest of this year and next? 🤔

More cruises! An EPIC land vacation overseas—this time to Africa! And lots more content for you. We still have so much from Europe last year and from our multiple cruises we have taken. For right now, we just wanted to share some photos to show how our summer is going and wanted to say hey and hope you’re all doing well!

There’s just something special about being part of a brand new chapter for a ship. Enjoy every glacier, every port, every late-night bite, and every unforgettable moment onboard. ❤️

Virgin has made it to Alaska, and honestly, that sounds absolutely iconic. 😍

Next year, we’ll be taking our first international “land” trip to Egypt, where we’ll be embarking on a 10-day expedition across the country from Cairo to Abu Simbel — and we’re SO excited! 🇪🇬✨

There will still be a “cruise” involved, but not a traditional one. We’ll be sailing on a small river cruise along the historic Nile River from Luxor to Aswan. 🚢

We seriously can’t wait for these views and to experience places like the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, and so much more!

This truly feels like a trip of a lifetime. After sailing through Greece last year and experiencing so much ancient history, we can’t wait to see what Egypt has in store for us.
